Aubrey Lesperance

I have always loved the sea and when I was about 13 years old my big brother gave me my first aquarium and the rest was history! Eventually as I thought about my career choice, I started enjoying marine biology which became my career choice after my A level’s. After opting for fisheries science, the university offered me a degree in Aquaculture, and I was satisfied by the topic. Eventually it became a passion and I have been devoting myself to unpack this fascinating subject as it gathers more and more importance locally and globally.

 

I want to further build my career in Aquaculture and improve its perception amongst Seychellois by developing this new socio-economic sector. I also would like to see this new sector providing significant benefits for the country and prepare the way for Seychelles to become a centre for excellence and leader in Marine Aquaculture in the region.
